The short version
Boring Mode doesn't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. No analytics, no tracking, no accounts. Your browsing data stays on your device.
1 What we collect
Nothing. Boring Mode runs entirely on your device. We don't collect any personal information, usage data, browsing history, or analytics of any kind.
2 Data stored on your device
Boring Mode stores a small amount of data locally on your device to function:
- • Your tracked sites — the domains you choose to monitor
- • Timer settings — your configured fade durations
- • Daily elapsed time — how long you've spent on each tracked site today
This data syncs across your Apple devices via iCloud if you have Safari extension syncing enabled. This is handled by Apple — we never see it.
3 Third-party services
None. Boring Mode doesn't include any third-party SDKs, analytics frameworks, or advertising libraries. There are no network requests to any server besides Apple's own iCloud sync.
4 Children's privacy
We don't collect data from anyone, including children. Boring Mode is suitable for all ages.
5 Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we'll update this page. But honestly, the plan is to keep not collecting your data.
